Innovative Care Research Specialist A/B

Responsibilities
Engage in both patient-facing research activities and in the processing and management of biological research samples for bio-banking in a lab setting
Function as a liaison between the clinical and lab research teams, identifying potential candidates for research participation, conducting research visits, and ensuring the seamless flow of biological sample acquisition, data, and communications across translational research collaborations
Process and store human bio-samples (including blood, cerebrospinal fluid, and lymphatic fluid) as well as utilize flow-cytometric and other cell-based assays
Assist other members of the lab in maintaining equipment and managing orders
Perform single-cell genomics assays and analyze the results of these assays utilizing the R or Python coding languages
Train new staff and study personnel on an as-needed basis
Qualification
Required
Strong interpersonal, communication, writing, and analytical skills
Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Ability to navigate multi-layered systems and manage competing priorities
Ability to exercise independent judgment and problem-solving skills, and to effectively communicate with personnel from a variety of levels within and outside the organization
Strong PC skills using a range of software programs including Microsoft Word for Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe
RS-A: Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
Availability to work non-traditional hours on an as-needed basis is required
RS-B: Bachelor of Science and 1 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
Experience in clinical research required
Prior wet lab experience is required
Experience with data analysis utilizing R or Python coding languages is required
Candidates should possess the ability to delegate work among team members and lead in training activities of new staff
