Responsibilities
Support and enhance CMS functionality , ensuring clear separation between CMS and non-CMS components
Assist stakeholders in understanding data flow and integrations across multiple systems
Represent the CMS team in meetings with non-CMS stakeholders
Troubleshoot and resolve support tickets and production issues in a timely manner
Perform hands-on development, debugging, unit testing , and code fixes
Collaborate closely with QA teams to ensure high-quality deliverables
Prepare and maintain technical documentation including HLD and LLD for complex CMS modules
Conduct code and documentation reviews for CMS development team members
Support production deployments , post-deployment validation, and patching activities (including weekend support when required)
Maintain regular communication with onshore teams and provide status updates
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
Qualification
Required
8+ years of overall development experience
3+ years of recent experience with Java-based CMS, specifically Bloomreach Experience Manager (Hippo CMS)
5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development (Java 8 required; Java 17 preferred)
Strong experience with server-side frameworks: Spring, Java/J2EE, Apache Wicket
2+ years of experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
1+ year of experience with GraphQL (Apollo Client, JSON)
1+ year experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
2+ years of experience implementing secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10)
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins
Experience with build tools like Maven and Gradle
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Preferred
Java 17
Experience with Apache Wicket
Familiarity with React and Node.js
Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Couchbase)
Experience with Relational Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
Exposure to AWS S3
Knowledge of Groovy scripting
Proficiency with Git / Bitbucket
