Responsibilities
Act as Principal Investigator (PI) and manage related responsibilities on Government projects
Develop and implement overarching program and project execution strategies across multiple Government customers
Build and foster relationships with Government Customers, Vendors, and other entities
Work with DIG and MilTech leadership to establish and execute program development strategies that promote MilTech capabilities to current and potential new customers
Secure and sustain project work that is in line with MilTech Mission, capabilities, and Values to support the MilTech work pipeline
Develop proposals and documentation with DIG leadership and the MilTech Operations Team for funding mechanisms (i.e. partnership intermediary agreements, broad agency announcements, etc.)
Work with MilTech and DIG leadership to develop and execute hiring plans, and direct staffing priorities for portfolio projects
Lead, develop, and train direct staff within the program to ensure project support, execution, customer satisfaction, and quality control of deliverables. Provide structured guidance and performance oversight to Project and Technical Team Leads
Conduct performance reviews, provide effective and regular performance feedback, and work with direct reports on professional development
Provide direct supervision, technical and programmatic guidance to Project and Technical Team Leads, Project Engineers, and other relevant personnel as necessary to support portfolio and ensure quality of reporting/deliverables
Work with DIG team leadership and the MilTech Operations Team to ensure that program budgets are established and spent according to plan
Work with DIG and MilTech leadership to develop processes and expand resources to support current program work as well as future opportunities
Support program reviews for funding mechanism customers
Comply at all times with the MilTech Confidentiality Agreement governing non-disclosure of information encountered in the course of your duties, and the MilTech Technology Control Plan governing security and work controls
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated progressive and extensive MilTech experience in a senior team leadership role supporting DOD government programs and stakeholder groups, including strategic experience understanding and translating project needs and requirements into clear objectives and tasks
Demonstrated experience building DOD government partner relationships that will support efforts for future project engagement opportunities
Demonstrated progressive and extensive experience with DOD PIAs and MilTech/MSU processes, and overall management of a MilTech team that executes a wide variety and volume of customer driven projects, including the management of all resources, tools, and processes
Demonstrated progressive and extensive experience managing and developing a Montana State University-based MilTech team of internal and external professionals to execute on a variety of diverse projects
Demonstrated experience generating and providing customer-required project metrics, reports, and financial information to internal and external project stakeholders
Must possess active security clearance
Preferred
Previous engagement experience with DHS and other non-DOD government programs
