Assistant Director of Perioperative Services

Responsibilities
Assists the Executive Director in the effective management of all aspects of Perioperative Services
Develops priorities, goals, and action plans to ensure that Cabell Huntington Hospital Perioperative Services is the place of choice for their health care services
Assesses compliance to best nursing practice and clinical performance; intervenes to ensure that patient care outcomes are individualized and that the best outcomes are achieved
Actively participates in ensuring that all practices are in compliance with regulatory and quality standards
Actively participates in budget development and maintenance; service excellence (patient experience); process improvement (Lean Methodology) and quality assurance
Assists in the oversight of daily operations of all departments within Perioperative Services
Serves as a leader and role model for Perioperative employees; manages & addresses staffing concerns timely, collaborates on resource utilization, and resolves performance concerns in partnership with internal and external managers
Assists in achieving the organization’s mission by effectively working in collaboration with the Executive Director, Operations Managers, Supervisors, Surgeons, Registered Nurses, Surgical Technicians, OR Sterile Technicians, Supply Team Leaders and Technicians, Scheduling Secretaries, OR Attendants, Patient Care Assistants, and other perioperative Support Personnel
Takes the leadership role in organizational development, change management, operational excellence, employee engagement, strategic alignment, healthy work environment, patient satisfaction and physician engagement
Qualification
Required
Effective management of all aspects of Perioperative Services
Developing priorities, goals, and action plans
