Responsibilities
Translate customer business needs into effective, data-driven solutions
Engage stakeholders to understand the purpose and context of data requests
Apply technical tools to design and deliver analytical and reporting solutions
Provide consultative services in response to service requests, including email submissions
Lead and steward the use of data solutions to measure, change, and drive key business processes and coordinated clinical initiatives
Develop interactive data solutions to support performance improvement and decision-making
Serve as a customer relationship manager, building strong partnerships and high levels of engagement across the organization
Collaborate with clients across the enterprise and health system
Communicate effectively with a wide audience, including unit managers, executives, and board members
Gather data from multiple sources, analyze and summarize findings, and present clear conclusions
Access and handle confidential and protected information in compliance with all applicable policies and procedures
Adhere to organizational information security standards and complete mandatory annual privacy and security training
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of relevant work experience required
An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
A bachelor's degree may be substituted for experience
Healthcare experience
EMR system experience (Epic preferred)
Data analytics experience
Two (2) years of healthcare data analysis experience with in-depth knowledge of healthcare operations required
An advanced degree may substitute for healthcare data analysis experience on a year-for-year basis
Ability to work across multiple departments within the enterprise/health system
Strong problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills
Hands-on experience with large relational databases and data warehousing, including the ability to query databases using SQL or similar languages
Advanced Excel skills, including complex functions, formulas, and formatting
Proven ability to work accurately with large data sets (millions of records)
Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
Demonstrated ability to present complex information in an easy-to-understand format
Preferred
Experience with report writing and data visualization tools preferred, including: Epic Cogito Suite (RADAR, Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer), SAP Business Objects (WebI), Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting and visualization tools
Registrations, certifications, and/or licenses preferred or to be achieved within six (6) months of hire, depending on area of focus as determined by management: Cogito Fundamentals, Cogito Access, Revenue, or Clinical Data Model (Proficiency level or above)
