Responsible for standard laboratory operations, including the cultivation and storage of bacterial isolates
Conducts antimicrobial susceptibility testing
Operates in vitro bacterial killing assays
Utilizes standard molecular techniques, including PCR and nucleic acid extraction
Keeps detailed notes and presents data at a weekly lab meeting
Maintains, calibrates, and cleans laboratory equipment
Communicates with collaborators and other personnel regularly
Performs and documents routine laboratory procedures and experiments while maintaining equipment
Ensures safety compliance and supports accurate, reliable research operations
Standing for extended periods
Lifting and carrying equipment or supplies up to moderate weights
Performing repetitive hand and arm motions during laboratory procedures
Bachelor's Degree
1 year of experience
Combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education and/or experience requirement
