Responsibilities
Evaluate government quote requests to determine if they are within scope of the contract
Negotiate the best price, terms and delivery options for the goods being offered
Assess, manage and mitigate risks for all aspects of the procurement
Report key metrics in order to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
Network, partner and negotiate with reliable suppliers and maintain positive vendor relations
Accurately interpret supplier quotes, including terms and delivery schedules
Perform high-level order management involving multiple layers of data entry
Follow up across all process areas to ensure proper order delivery and customer satisfaction
Communicate effectively via phone, email, and group meetings with customers, vendors, peers, and management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required; prior experience may be considered
3+ years of customer service experience required
5+ years of experience in a Microsoft Office environment, with major emphasis on Excel
Must pass a drug screening test
Preferred
Prior military or federal agency experience preferred
Experience with government procurement preferred
