Responsibilities
Perform item processing tasks such as data entry, reject/repair work, balancing, file imports/exports, and document storage
Complete end-of-day balancing and reporting accurately and on time
Monitor Source Capture Optimization (SCO) for ATM, mobile, customer, and merchant deposits
Identify and escalate exceptions, file load errors, duplicate items, and large-dollar alerts
Process incoming returns and chargebacks, apply holds, and assist with reconciliations
Research discrepancies involving teller capture, MICR errors, and out-of-balance conditions
Process incoming and outgoing mail daily and operate printing, folder/inserter, and postage equipment
Prepare bulk mailings and fulfill supply requests for branch and office locations
Prepare, scan, index, and quality-check paper and electronic documents
Ensure documents are stored correctly, are legible, and meet retention and compliance standards
Respond to calls, emails, and inquiries from branches and internal departments with professionalism and urgency
Communicate issues promptly and follow established procedures
Qualification
Required
A high school diploma or GED, plus any education beyond a high school diploma (business emphasis preferred)
Working knowledge of item processing, returns, chargebacks, and reconciliations
Working knowledge of Source Capture Optimization and basic risk alerts
Working knowledge of document imaging, scanning, and indexing
Working knowledge of mail operations and inventory support
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong attention to detail, time management, and independent problem-solving skills
A customer-service mindset and clear communication skills
Ability to sit for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, lift up to 50 lbs., and maintain a valid driver's license
Preferred
1+ year of experience in item processing, document imaging, or a related banking operations role
