Responsibilities
Respond to all maintenance requests by guests, employees, and supervisors
Maintain, repair, and overhaul equipment and property. Report problems to General Manager
Paint walls, ceilings, fixtures, building, and equipment to prevent corrosion
Hang wall fixtures, replace light bulbs and filters, and shampoo carpets
Make local deliveries and pick-ups
Maintain parking lot, pool, and grounds area according to established quality standards
Work in accordance with General Manager to set up and complete special and on-going projects and maintains a preventative maintenance program
Conduct routine inspections of hotel and determine maintenance needs
Maintain all sidewalks and keep them clean and clear of debris and/or snow and ice
Responsible for recording and implementing of key control policies, practices, and procedures
Keep current on all information pertaining to any equipment or machinery on property
Compliance with OSHA standards to provide a safe work environment
Maintains regular contact with the Regional Maintenance Manager
Qualification
Required
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency
Minimum of 3 years on the job maintenance experience
Valid driver's license and safe driving record – satisfactory criminal background screening required
Must have knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
Must have basic knowledge of OSHA regulations
Dependable and guest-focused
Excellent time management and problem solving skills
Preferred
Certification in HVAC, building maintenance, or relevant field is a plus
