Responsibilities
Create and maintain a safe work environment for all Associates and Leaders
Relentlessly drive and support continuous improvement efforts across the network
Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify opportunities in related processes, operations performance levels, and knowledge management practices
Leverage both quantitative and qualitative inputs to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Ensure the standard processes and quality assurance measures are in place and being adhered to across the network
Act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency, and taking corrective action when needed
Mentor, train, and develop teammates for career progression, performance improvement, and recognition purposes
Support and lead the creation of high-impact training materials and/or processes
Operations Managers create, communicate and maintain quality control policies and continuous improvement initiatives across the team(s), shifts, and fulfillment centers
Constantly review and action performance data with your Supervisors, ensuring adherence to, or exceeding operational goals (weekly, daily, hourly)
Partner with other managers to share best practices across shifts and the network
Qualification
Required
2-3 years previous supervisory experience required, preferable within e-commerce, warehousing/distribution industries
Bachelor's degree highly preferred
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth, and rapidly-changing operations environment
Operational experience and knowledge across two or more functional areas of e-commerce, warehousing/distribution, or 3PL operation (i.e. Outbound, Inbound, Inventory, Value-add Services (VAS))
Ability to manage, motivate, direct, lead, train and develop other leaders and team members
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; capable to work with operations leaders to understand ShipMonk processes and translate required outcomes to training materials
Ability to clearly define, analyze, summarize, and communicate business results
Strong technical and analytical skills, with moderate to advanced capabilities in applications such as MS Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, ERP/WMS/TMS, etc
Preferred
1-2 years management experience preferred (refers to salaried and degreed direct-reports, or equivalent)
