Responsibilities

Support the implementation and maintenance of site-specific environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and JSR requirements
Collect and analyze data on incidents, accidents, environmental emissions, and other EHS performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
Assist in developing and delivering engaging EHS training programs to educate employees and promote a culture of safety
Assist in safety engagement by supporting awareness initiatives and fostering a proactive safety mindset across the organization
Conduct site safety inspections and actively contribute to the safety committee to ensure a hazard-free workplace
Participate in incident investigations, identify root causes, and support the implementation of effective corrective actions
Assist in hazard and risk assessments, environmental impact evaluations, and EHS audits to identify opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS best practices into daily operations and strategic initiatives

Required

3–5 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) roles
Strong understanding of EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulations at both state and federal levels
Familiarity with safety and environmental requirements, assessments, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and risk mitigation
Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across departments
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat for reporting, data analysis, and training materials
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or a related field
40-hr Hazwoper Certification
Ability to lift and carry materials as needed
Prolonged periods of sitting or standing
Extended use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including chemical protection
Respirator medical clearance required
