Responsibilities
Supervise Financial Administrators over five (5) Process Teams in carrying out day-to-day operations of pre-audits and contract reviews
Monitor disbursement reports and provide solutions for audit issues that arise on a day-to-day basis
Assists the Bureau Chief with planning, organizing, coordinating and directing activities of the Process Teams
Oversees administration of personnel matters within the bureau
Develops and maintains adequate training programs for bureau staff
Qualification
Required
Five (5) or more years of professional experience auditing State of Florida contracts and grant agreements for compliance with statutory requirements
Five (5) years of professional experience auditing State of Florida contract and grant disbursements for compliance with statutory requirements
Four (4) or more years of supervisory experience
Requires basic supervisory skills
The ability to plan, co-ordinate, and motivate employees in accomplishing the Bureau's objectives
Knowledge of accounting principles, auditing procedures, laws and administrative rules
The ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
The ability to analyze, comprehend and problem solve accounting and auditing issues
Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and procedures
The ability to understand, interpret and apply laws, rules and authoritative pronouncements
The ability to write technical accounting and audit reports
The ability to plan, coordinate and execute Bureau resources in carrying out prescribed tasks
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment
Preferred
A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field
