Information Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities

Hands-on work with the system development life cycle and Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and running security assessments across various platforms
Building RMF documentation, including security plans, testing plans, and compliance analysis
Conducting vulnerability scans and compliance checks in a DevSecOps environment
Collaborating with teams, customers, and stakeholders to solve complex cybersecurity challenges

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Technology or Mathematics field
5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience
Department of Defense TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is required at time of hire
U.S. citizenship is required
Strong expertise in systems engineering and cybersecurity frameworks like NIST SP 800-37 and 800-53
Experience with STIGs, security policies, and vulnerability assessments for different systems and devices
Proficiency in developing RMF documentation and performing compliance scans
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders
A TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph, plus an active Security+ or CISSP certification

Preferred

Participation in cybersecurity working groups and Agile teams
A self-starter mindset with creative problem-solving skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and security tools
