Commercial Lender
The Agency is seeking a Commercial Lender to manage and expand an established portfolio of Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) relationships. The role involves generating new business opportunities while maintaining asset quality and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Manage an existing portfolio of CRE and C&I relationships with full accountability for credit quality, client retention, and profitability
Deepen existing relationships through cross-selling of deposits, treasury management, and ancillary services
Serve as the primary point of contact for business owners, real estate investors, and key decision-makers
Transition and retain an established book of business while continuing to originate new CRE and C&I relationships
Leverage an existing network of clients and referral sources to drive loan and deposit growth
Actively participate in market and community engagement to expand visibility and influence
Structure and underwrite CRE and C&I credit facilities including owner-occupied and investor CRE, operating lines, term loans, and equipment financing
Perform comprehensive financial analysis, global cash flow modeling, collateral evaluation, and stress testing
Prepare and present credit memorandums for approval in accordance with bank policy and risk appetite
Monitor portfolio performance through annual reviews, covenant tracking, and risk rating updates
Partner closely with Credit Administration, Treasury Management, Operations, and Loan Servicing teams
Support regulatory exams, internal audits, and credit reviews
Provide guidance or mentorship to junior lenders or relationship managers as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
8–15+ years of commercial lending experience with a demonstrated CRE and C&I focus
Established book of commercial business with transferable client relationships
Strong underwriting, credit structuring, and portfolio management expertise
Proven ability to retain and grow client relationships
