Responsibilities
Represent the Revenue Cycle team by providing patients with a positive financial experience by helping patients navigate and understand insurance benefits and potential financial liability
Act as the patient’s point of contact for financial assistance questions
Collect payments and set up payment arrangements as appropriate
Create estimates and advise patients in person and over the phone on their insurance benefits and coverage
Assess patient referrals for appropriateness when necessary
Assist patients with eligibility for government programs, MGRMC’s financial assistance program, and other options for managing high medical liabilities
Exercise independent judgment and decision making to address the full range of tasks and responsibilities
Plan, schedule and organize numerous tasks that directly impact hospital and physician reimbursement
Qualification
Required
Must be at least 18 years of age
Proof of highest level of education completed but not less than high school education or equivalent
One (1) year experience in Health Care Revenue Cycle, insurance, or
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of MGRMC staff and support personnel required
Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form
An understanding of computer systems, process design and data management
Must have a well-groomed, professional appearance
Must have the mental and physical ability to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, the essential functions of the job
Ability to lift, carry, pull, & push 50 pounds
Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal fluency
Preferred
Two (2) years' experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle (Admissions, Billing, Coding,)
Experience using Meditech
Experience using Waystar/Zirmed
