Network Security Lead (INFOSEC) - Office of the Chief Information Officer
GSA is seeking a Network Security Lead to manage the Network Security Program and provide ongoing security operation support. The role involves analyzing network architecture, implementing security requirements, and providing guidance on cybersecurity and network monitoring.

Responsibilities
Incorporating modern network infrastructure capabilities (i.e., Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Software-Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN), Software-Defined Perimeter (SDP), Software-Defined Networks (SDN), etc.)
Working with a team to analyze the customer current network architecture in conjunction with Zero Trust assessment findings to recommend future-state network architecture design for the agency
Providing assistance in implementing system security requirements for both internal and external networks, as well as multi-cloud environments
Providing support and guidance in constructing, designing, integrating, and configuring cybersecurity and network monitoring
Providing expert advice to the Director of Division. Representing the Division and OCIO in meetings with other GSA entities; and GSA in meetings with representatives of industry, other agencies, public organizations, etc., to resolve problems, develop joint policies/standards; analyze, select and implement IT security products/services/solutions; and exchanges information regarding areas of technical expertise
Qualification
Required
US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
Meet all eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date
Register with Selective Service if you are a male born after 12/31/1959

Current or Former Political Appointees: The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees
Serve a one year probationary period, if required
Undergo and pass a background investigation (Tier 2 investigation level)
Have your identity and work status eligibility verified if you are not a GSA employee
At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service
IT-related experience demonstrating EACH of the four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, Problem Solving
Specialized experience applying advanced network and cybersecurity concepts—including Zero Trust and modern software-defined architectures—to analyze, design, and modernize large-scale enterprise networks
Experience implementing complex security requirements across internal, external, and multi-cloud environments and integrating cybersecurity monitoring and management tools
Experience providing authoritative technical guidance to senior leadership and collaborating with cross-functional partners to resolve complex security and architecture challenges
