Responsibilities
Maintains the overall grounds of the County Complex including lawns, shrubs, trees, flowers, roads, parking lots, catch basins, drainage ditches, hay fields, and further, operates any related equipment
Coordinates preventative maintenance programs for equipment including changing oil, changing filters, greasing equipment, and performing small engine repair
Cross-trained in other areas of Facilities Maintenance (particularly the Motor Services Division) and participates in rotating on-call maintenance for coverage purposes
Responds to emergency situations, such as snow removal, at the County Complex for up to 16 hours
Qualification
Required
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalency
Two to five years of relevant experience
A current, valid driver's license is required
Ability to operate a multitude of power and hand tools including, but not limited to, riding lawn mowers, push power mowers, string trimmers, chainsaws, circular saws, bench grinders, drills, tractors, back hoes, front-end loaders, and snow removal equipment including snowplows
