Responsibilities

Prepares supplier quote packages by gathering engineering drawings and specifications from various systems and distributes with direction from Category Managers
Owner of procurement master data. Examples include - sets up suppliers in SAP, creating info records, creating and maintaining price databases. Supports the maintenance and control of material costs. Performs total landed cost analysis
Follow-up and work directly with suppliers on aging quotes
Assist with identification, evaluation, and support for the development of sources of supply and commodity plans for OE (Original Equipment) and Aftermarket in accordance with SLQCD (safety, law, quality, delivery, and cost) principals as assigned
Drives, supports, and provides reporting and analytics for continuous improvement and supplier development and management in coordination with the Category Managers and New Product Development – Cost Optimization Project Managers to leverage spend and cost reductions
Prepares engineering drawings and quoting packages. Performs analysis on RFQs. Develops bid analysis summaries
Extracts estimated annual usage and previous purchase price for cost impact analysis

Required

Pursuing a bachelor's level degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, IT, General Business or equivalent
Hold a rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior level in good academic standing
Ability to work independently as well a part of a team towards a goal
Excellent organization and personal time management skills; able to handle multiple tasks
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Possess effective problem solving and critical thinking skills, able to be creative and resourceful when needed
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred

Previous work experience in warehouse/distribution, customer service, or formal internship
Ability to read basics from an engineering print (will train)
ISM /APICS Certification a plus but not required
Creative, high energy, and self-motivated
Self-confidence and professionalism to interact with internal employees and external suppliers at all levels of the organization, both vertically and horizontally
