Responsibilities
Cut and prepare a wide range of meat products according to Plum Market standards and Customer preferences
Assist in the preparation of ground meats, oven-ready items, and value-added offerings using in-house recipes
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times
Ensure proper product rotation and restocking of meat cases to maintain freshness and availability
Provide knowledgeable and personalized Customer Service, including preparation advice and cooking recommendations
Help train and support Team Members in proper cutting and food safety techniques
Communicate effectively with Team Members, Store Leadership, and Customers to support department goals
Uphold all Plum Market policies, food safety protocols, and operational procedures
Qualification
Required
Prior experience in meat cutting, including breaking down sub-primals, portioning, and trimming
Exceptional knife skills and knowledge of cut techniques and yields
Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and storage standards
Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break
Ability to bend, stoop, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and push/pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted
