Responsibilities
Manage a daily pipeline of loans across RCN Capital’s full suite of programs
Review loan files for accuracy, creditworthiness, compliance, and collateral evaluation
Collaborate with the lending team and Loan Officers to ensure files are complete and meet funding goals
Develop a thorough understanding of RCN Capital’s loan programs and their specific requirements
Make independent underwriting decisions and guide loans through the funding process
Perform additional tasks, projects, and assignments as needed
Qualification
Required
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
A strong sense of urgency
Ability to make independent, data-driven decisions
Strong analytical skills and familiarity with mortgage underwriting processes
Strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate professional by phone, email, and in person
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, quickly changing environment
Excellent organization and time management skills
Exposure and proficient use of MS Office Suite, including Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
4-year college degree in business, finance or equivalent
Experience working in mortgage underwriting for no less than 4 years
Preferred
Knowledge of real estate investment lending products is a plus
Experience in private or hard money lending strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field preferred
Experience in lieu of formal education will be considered
