Distributor Account Manager
AtWork Personnel is seeking a field-based Distributor Account Manager to support and grow relationships with distributors within a defined geographic territory. This role focuses on business development, strategic distributor engagement, and driving sales growth through training and joint sales efforts.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary field sales contract for distributors within the assigned territory
Travel up to 70% to support distributor sales efforts and customer engagement
Manage and grow a multi-state territory, driving sales growth and business development
Provide product and application training to distributor teams
Support distributors with pricing requests, sales initiatives, and territory business planning
Conduct joint sales calls with distributor teams to drive customer engagement and sales
Collaborate with distributors on quarterly business plans and growth strategies
Maintain accurate service, sales, and CRM records, including opportunity tracking and reporting
Educate distributors on working effectively with inside sales and technical support teams
Support marketing campaigns, national partner meetings, and strategic initiatives within the territory
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in the sales field, distribution, or account management
Technical knowledge of fluid power, filtration, or related components preferred
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans with distributor partners
Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) for opportunity management and reporting
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable with frequent travel
Ability to respond promptly to customer inquiries and manage distributor relationships
Bachelor's or associate degree preferred
Preferred
Hands-on experience in fluid power systems, components, or related technical products
Familiarity with customer portals, web shops, and distributor workflows
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
