Summer Intern - Cyber Security Engineer

Responsibilities
Assist in the Vulnerability Management Lifecycle to harden cloud and on-prem systems and networks
Identify and escalate threats discovered in alerts such as the EDR/XDR, SIEM, Threat Intelligence, and Bug Bounty Platform to Enterprise Security Team
Research and run scripts and tools to get data from the HARMAN environment to stay ahead of emerging threats
Perform live demonstrations and presentations to Enterprise Security Team
Qualification
Required
Completed coursework Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or relevant areas
Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently present to immediate team and senior leadership members
Must work collaboratively and use interpersonal skills to complete tasks
Ability to research and troubleshoot technical problems through trial and error until a viable solution is determined
Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program at an accredited institution having completed your Sophomore year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before participation in the internship program, and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA
Be willing to work in an office in Stamford, Connecticut or remotely
Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
Must provide full work availability from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026 and be able to work 40 hours per week
Preferred
Previous theoretical or practical knowledge about Windows or Linux Operating Systems
