The City of Indianapolis is seeking a Project Manager for the Planning and Compliance section, responsible for overseeing various infrastructure projects. The role involves providing technical engineering assistance and managing local, federal, and multi-modal transportation and environmental projects throughout Marion County.

Planning & Compliance management of local, federal, multi-modal, transportation, structural, and stormwater projects
Design specification and plan interpretation, scheduling, and planning related to infrastructure projects
Provides support in the development of the Department's Capital Improvement Plan (CIP)

Required

Technical degree/certification or five plus (5+) years of related work experience required
The position requires extensive knowledge of City, State, and FHWA policies and specifications as they relate to construction of City infrastructure
The position requires excellent oral and written skills in addition to excellent conflict resolution skills

Preferred

Experience working in GIS preferred but not required

Pension - The pension portion of the retirement benefit is funded by contributions made by the employer over the course of the employee's career and separate from the annuity savings account.
The Indiana General Assembly has enacted a provision that allows public employees to make voluntary contributions in addition to the mandatory three percent (3%) contributions.
