PROJECT COORDINATOR

Responsibilities

Act as a strategic extension of the Project Manager by carrying out delegated project-management responsibilities—including technical documentation, coordination efforts, and project controls, helping to streamline workflows and support informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle
Prepare, update, and monitor detailed project schedules to track milestones, deliverables, and critical deadlines, supporting proactive planning and helping ensure projects remain on schedule
Assist with monitoring project budgets and scope by tracking costs, labor, and changes, providing accurate and timely information to support financial control and scope management
Coordinate with internal project teams including administrative staff to track progress, manage deliverables, and support effective communication, helping ensure work is completed efficiently and in alignment with project goals
Support the development and coordination of front-end specifications, including logistical and procedural requirements, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with project and client standards
Conduct research on project-specific requirements, codes, standards, and technical topics to support project planning, design coordination, and informed project decisions
Execute work in accordance with internal quality procedures, applicable codes, legislation, and industry standards to ensure project compliance and technical excellence
Actively pursue continuous learning opportunities to maintain a high degree of technical knowledge and professional competency in structural engineering
Promote and maintain a culture of safety by working in a safe manner at all times and promptly reporting all health and safety incidents or concerns
Perform additional tasks as required to support project goals, team objectives, and company initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience supporting project management activities within the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities
Proficiency with project scheduling software, such as Microsoft Project or equivalent tools
Active and clear driver's license, including a successful clearance of a Motor Vehicle history check

Preferred

Experience with K-12 educational facilities projects
Proficiency with building energy modeling concepts and software
