Responsibilities

Mechanic is fully responsible for performing thorough and accurate inspections and testing of cranes
Performs field maintenance and repair activities, as required
Responsible for all coordinating and prioritizing job site repairs and maintenance thru the Service Manager and/or Assistant Service Manager
Reads, understands and follows advanced hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical diagrams
Responsible for modifying, diagnosing and upgrading crane hydraulic system, pneumatic and electrical diagrams
Replacing broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock, and ordering the production of a replacement part
Reassembling machines and making all necessary adjustments for operation
Has a thorough knowledge of equipment application and proper working function of all equipment
Safe work habits and a history of following safety regulations
Comply with all Buckner Safety Policies as well as ASME/ ANSI and OSHA regulations regarding. crane operation
Other duties as assigned by the BHL Service Manager and/or Assistant Service Manager
Travel to various job sites throughout the United States
Must be able to lift /push 50lbs
Fully and neatly prepares written specifications for major repairs or for the production of parts ordered
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers when necessary
Authorized to be firm and decisive when decisions need to be made regarding equipment repairs and maintenance but required to be polite and understanding when dealing with co-workers or partners
Ability to perform tasks independently without direct supervision

Required

High school or equivalent
A minimum of 3 – 5 years experience as a mechanic repairing and maintaining heavy construction equipment
History of working with different forms of crawler crane equipment
The ability to read schematics (both electrical and hydraulic)
Knowledge of OSHA and BHL standards and safety regulations
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Must be able to work in the United States
Ability to fully adhere to and fully embrace ISO standards 9001, 14001 and 45001

Preferred

Experience with Liebherr Cranes, LICCON I and II Systems
Canbus, Liccon1, Liccon2, Provestion in Electrical Diagnostic and Voltmeter, and SCRA knowledge
