Responsibilities
Lead and Grow the Team: Hire, manage, and mentor a talented group of coastal stormwater professionals in Texas, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture
Shape Regional Strategy: Collaborate with leadership to craft and execute a long-term strategy for the growth and development of Lochner's Stormwater Practice in Texas
Deliver Complex Projects: Lead the design and delivery of high-impact Coastal projects, including drainage master planning, combined flood mitigation studies, storm drainage improvements, and channel and shoreline restoration initiatives
Drive Business Development: Cultivate client partnerships, direct project pursuits, and guide proposals, contracts, and presentations
Promote Technical Excellence: Apply advanced expertise in H&H modeling tools (e.g., HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, InfoWorks ICM, ADC/RC, SMS, ArcMap, QUAL2K, EFDC, CvlGrid, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ModFlow, Python, MATLAB, SPSS, and Vensim) to ensure innovative project delivery that meets client needs
Qualification
Required
Texas PE license and a bachelor's or master's degree in civil or environmental engineering
Minimum 10 years of experience delivering coastal stormwater projects, with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership or project management role
Proven success working with governmental agencies, especially TxGLO and USACE
Proficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools, such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, InfoWorks ICM, ADC/RC, SMS, ArcMap, QUAL2K, EFDC, CvlGrid, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ModFlow, Python, MATLAB, SPSS, and Vensim
Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and teams
Preferred
Experience managing TxGLO and USACE projects
Expertise in FEMA floodplain modeling, floodplain mapping, and TCEQ water quality design
Background in channel design and shoreline restoration
Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) designation is a strong plus
