Senior Staff Accountant
Community Health Alliance is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to support the integrity and accuracy of our financial reporting within a dynamic healthcare setting. This position plays a critical role in the Finance team by assisting with key accounting functions such as month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, financial compliance, and analysis.

Assist with month-end close processes including payroll, benefit and PTO accruals
Perform journal entries and reconciliations
Ensure financial compliance and reporting
Conduct financial analysis
Support the Director of Finance and Accounting Manager in various accounting functions
Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or nonprofit setting
Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial compliance
Experience with a cloud based, integrated accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite or MIP)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
Self-starter and have the ability to work in a timely and accurate manner, while meeting deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Familiarity with healthcare financial operations, FQHC requirements, and cost allocation methodologies
Preferred
Experience with fund accounting, healthcare billing systems, and grant reporting
CPA or CPA candidate
