Responsibilities

Administer and support enterprise vulnerability management platforms (e.g., Qualys VMDR, Policy Compliance, Patch Management)
Configure and manage vulnerability scanners, cloud agents, authentication records, and asset tagging
Maintain accurate asset inventory through automated discovery, classification, and tagging workflows
Schedule, execute, and optimize vulnerability and compliance scans across servers, workstations, cloud environments, and network devices
Analyze scan results, validate findings, investigate false positives, and coordinate remediation efforts with system owners
Track remediation progress and support risk-based prioritization of vulnerabilities
Develop dashboards, reports, and metrics for leadership, auditors, and compliance stakeholders
Support integration with ticketing systems, SIEM platforms, CMDBs, and other security or IT tools as required
Monitor platform health, scanner performance, and agent deployment status
Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and standard operating processes
Assist with audit support, regulatory compliance initiatives, and security assessments aligned with industry frameworks
Stay current with vulnerability management best practices, emerging threats, and platform enhancements

Required

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent professional experience
2–5 years of hands-on experience in vulnerability management using enterprise tools such as Qualys, Tenable, or similar platforms
Strong understanding of vulnerability scanning concepts, CVEs, CVSS scoring, and remediation workflows
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, operating systems, authentication methods, and system hardening practices
Ability to analyze technical data and clearly communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively in a government or enterprise environment
