Responsibilities
Responsible for performing the set-up, optical alignment, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of optical systems, circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies
Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems
May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems because of testing
May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment
Qualification
Required
Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies
Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams
Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems
May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing
Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems
May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment
100% Onsite in Milpitas
Hours working 8-10 hour days plus weekend
Main hours are Monday thru Friday 3:30 PM to 1 AM
Looking for 2 hours OT each day Monday thru Friday and 10 hours on Saturday
Preferred
ASEET, BSEET or BSEE and a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience is required
Works on assignments that are extremely complex in nature where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations
Requires experience in testing digital and/or analog systems
Ability to read complicated drawings and utilize mathematics, handbook formulas, and a variety of precision testing and measuring instruments
Flexible - Inquisitive Individual that welcomes change
Mature - Must handle high pressure situations with levelheaded grace
Autonomous – Able to work in unstructured environments
Team player - Work with multiple teams/management levels to achieve deliverables
Strong Analytical skills - Troubleshooting, project management, business Savvy
Strong Interpersonal skills - Friendly, culturally sensitive, highly communicative, non-confrontational, Capable of conflict resolution
