Electric Distribution Designer/GIS Drafter
Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking an Electric Distribution Designer / GIS Drafter to support the planning, design, and documentation of electric distribution projects. This role involves creating and updating design models, coordinating with various teams, and conducting field assessments to ensure reliable electric service delivery.

Responsibilities
Review new customer requests and project information in SAP
Create, revising, and maintaining electric distribution drawings using GE Smallworld GIS
Prepare 2D and 3D models, sketches, working drawings, and contract documents
Read and interpret customer requirements, data sheets, engineering drawings, and blueprints
Coordinate with engineering, architectural, and technical services staff under the direction of a supervisor
Conduct field visits to residential, commercial, or construction sites (approximately 30% of the role)
Prepare documentation to support design drawings, including bills of material and schedules
Assist engineering personnel with drawing transmittals and addressing construction‑related questions
Qualification
Required
Experience with GE Smallworld GIS or AutoCAD
Background in electrical, utility, construction, or infrastructure environments
Experience preparing 2D/3D models and design documentation
High School Diploma or GED
