Responsibilities
Perform chemical and physical analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and environmental monitoring samples
Operate advanced laboratory instrumentation including HPLC, FTIR, UV, GC, and related systems
Execute assays requiring strong analytical skills and knowledge of chemistry and biology principles
Ensure data integrity and compliance with SOPs, FDA, GLP, QSR, and cGMP requirements
Document testing accurately using notebooks, controlled documents, forms, and LIMS
Perform equipment maintenance, calibration, and laboratory audits as required
Investigate deviations and author OOS, OOT, OOL, and exception reports
Support continuous improvement initiatives using LEAN principles (e.g., 6S, Kaizen)
Collaborate cross-functionally to support production efficiency, quality improvements, and issue resolution
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline
Minimum 6 months of laboratory experience (industry or relevant academic experience accepted)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and within team-based environments
High attention to detail, adaptability, and a proactive mindset
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Visual acuity required; must not be color blind
Candidates must not be allergic to Penicillin or Cephalosporin
Preferred
Familiarity with cGMP, GLP, USP/ICH guidelines preferred
Experience with Empower CDS and LIMS is an advantage
