Responsibilities
Directs the daily operations of the Digital Services section through subordinates
Manages key IT functions such as design, development and implementation of new technology systems and maintenance and operations of existing technology systems
Responsible for highly complex agency-wide technology governance
Ensures reliability, security, and performance of IT systems while aligning technology investments with agency strategy and statewide OTS policies
Responsible for the submission of all planning and reporting documents required by federal partners
Serves as liaison with internal and external stakeholders related to DCFS internal IT systems
Develops goals and performance standards for subordinate units and supervisors
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Eight years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus five years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services
A bachelor's degree plus five years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services
An advanced degree or a Juris Doctorate plus four years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field
