Research Project Assistant
Montana State University is dedicated to all aspects of the animal production industry and is seeking a Research Project Assistant to assist with the USDA ARS Precision Livestock Initiative. The role involves conducting ruminant livestock research, assisting graduate students with projects, and working independently on animal research projects.

Responsibilities
Conduct ruminant livestock research
Assist with graduate student projects including:
Data collection
Analysis and publication
Guest lecture in Animal Science courses
Work independently on animal research projects
Qualification
Required
Masters Degree in Animal Science or related field
Experience working with ruminant livestock
Experience with ruminant nutrition laboratory methods
Experience with data management and analysis
Experience with manuscript preparation
Preferred
Solid background with forage nutrition as it relates to beef production
Proven track record in oral and written communication
Willingness to assist other graduate students with research projects including laboratory work, data analysis, and manuscript preparation
Understanding and experience in low-stress livestock management
