Responsibilities
Ensure effective operation of the pool in the absence of the Pool Supervisor
Prepare weekly deposits for submittal to Public Works
Perform advanced levels of water chemistry maintenance and chemical corrections
Qualification
Required
One (1) year of Casual Lifeguard experience
Current certifications in Lifeguard, Basic First-Aid, and CPR for the Professional
Willingness to train as a Water Safety Instructor
Ability to read, interpret, write, and perform basic math skills
Knowledge of basic customer service
Proper telephone and computer usage
Basic cleaning procedures
Knowledge of basic supervisory principles
Daily operations of the swimming facility
Occupational hazards and standard safety practices for the safe handling of chemicals
Ability to swim basic swim strokes
Complete assigned projects independently and in a timely manner
Communicate effectively orally
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff members, supervisors, and the public
Interpret water chemical levels
Work effectively under the pressure of emergencies
Coordinate rescue efforts and emergency medical procedures
Provide proper chemical correction to ensure water safety
Provide direction to staff to ensure effective and efficient operation of swimming pool in absence of Pool Supervisor
