Responsibilities
Lead and manage audit and assurance engagements for privately held clients across multiple industries
Plan, coordinate, and supervise audit engagements from start to finish, ensuring quality, timeliness, and compliance with professional standards
Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and related reports prepared by staff and seniors
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong working relationships
Assist with audits of employee benefit plans, including 401(k) plans
Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to audit staff and seniors
Collaborate with firm leadership on engagement planning, workflow management, and process improvements
Stay current on relevant accounting, auditing, and regulatory standards
Qualification
Required
Prior experience in public accounting audit, including supervisory or managerial responsibilities
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and audit methodologies
Experience working with privately held companies; exposure to manufacturing, real estate, and professional services clients is a plus
Demonstrated leadership ability with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
Preferred
Familiarity with employee benefit plan audits (401(k) plans) preferred
CPA license strongly preferred
