Responsibilities
Design and develop embedded software solutions for aero engine control systems
Integrate software with hardware and software with other software components
Execute component-level testing to validate functionality
Apply software lifecycle knowledge from design to release
Implement and follow software design patterns and coding standards
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Embedded Systems, Electronics, Safety, Certification, Quality, Component, and Applications Engineers
Contribute to the realization of safe, efficient, and reliable aero engine control systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering) with 1+ year of experience in software development or testing
Master's degree in Engineering
10–15 years of relevant experience preferred
Preferred
2+ years' experience in embedded safety-critical software engineering
Familiarity with model-based software design and code generation
Experience with DO-178 compliant software coding process
Control systems experience
Digital logic design experience
Experience with verification and testing frameworks
Strong understanding of embedded system integration and component testing
