Responsibilities

Assists Naturalist and Interpreter with planning and implementing outdoor engagement programs, exhibits, and activities
Assists with summer camp, scout group and school group programs
Assists with special events and education programs
Assists Naturalist and Interpreter with wildlife issues / customer service
Assists with care for educational / captive animals
Assists with coordinating volunteer stewardship activities
Provides support to Natural Resources Division as needed
Maintains computer based and non-computer based records and files
Utilizes business computers and software
Works a flexible schedule, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, as needed
Complies with safe work standards and practices
Performs manual labor including lifting, bending, and carrying objects up to 50 lbs
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualification

Wildlife/Natural Resources experienceBasic office computer skillsBusiness software proficiencyCustomer serviceCommunication skills

Required

High School Diploma/GED equivalent and one (1) year recent, directly related wildlife/Natural Resources experience
Basic Proficiency with office computers and related business software
Valid Michigan driver's license with no more than four (4) points currently on record
Acceptable Criminal History

Preferred

Associates degree or two (2) years of college level classes in a directly related field
