Responsibilities

Implement and maintain NIST SP 800‑171 infrastructure controls, including configuration baselines, validation outputs, and technical documentation required for CMMC assessments
Support government‑related system requirements, including RMF‑aligned control intent, audit readiness, and evidence generation
Engineer secure identity and access patterns for enterprise and production environments, including privileged access protections, secure administrative access, and least‑privilege enforcement
Design and maintain secure network and infrastructure connectivity, including segmentation boundaries, secure remote access, and controlled communication paths for sensitive systems
Enhance security monitoring and log visibility by implementing infrastructure‑relevant logging, alerting, and evidence‑ready monitoring capabilities
Perform vulnerability management and remediation validation, coordinating with system owners to close gaps and document proof of remediation
Support endpoint security, patch management, system hardening, and secure configuration enforcement across sensitive environments
Develop automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python preferred) to streamline validation, reporting, and evidence collection workflows
Support Azure‑based security services, including identity governance, monitoring, and hybrid‑environment security posture visibility
Leverage AI‑enabled security capabilities to improve triage, investigation efficiency, and operational reporting while ensuring outputs remain audit‑defensible
Collaborate with governance and compliance teams to support assessments, readiness reviews, and audit engagements with technical evidence and control validation
Partner with system owners and engineering teams to embed security into deployments, change processes, and system improvements
Work effectively under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain reliable attendance
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with an Associates degree in cybersecurity, information systems, engineering, or related field; or 3 years and a Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience
Experience in infrastructure engineering, security engineering, or cybersecurity operations with demonstrated responsibility implementing security controls in enterprise environments
Working knowledge of NIST SP 800‑171, DFARS 252.204‑7012, and CMMC Level 2 requirements
Experience supporting government‑related systems and compliance‑driven environments (e.g., RMF‑aligned activities, assessment support, evidence readiness)
Experience with Azure identity, access control, monitoring, and hybrid security operations
Proficiency with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python preferred) for security validation and evidence generation
Experience with security monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response support, including log analysis and remediation tracking
Strong understanding of access control, secure configuration baselines, system hardening, and secure administrative access patterns
Active DoD 8140 certification (e.g., Security+) or ability to obtain and maintain
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Willingness to participate in a week‑long on‑call rotation
Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3)
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information systems, engineering, or related field
Minimum of 3 additional years of experience, especially in security engineering roles supporting regulated or government environments
Experience with CMMC assessment preparation, evidence collection workflows, or audit‑facing technical roles
Hands‑on experience with infrastructure‑as‑code, configuration management tools, or automated compliance validation
Familiarity with AI‑driven security tools, SIEM tuning, or advanced detection engineering
Additional certifications such as CASP+, CySA+, Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, or GIAC
