Application Support Manager
Horizontal Talent is seeking an Application Support Manager to lead the operation of Azure-based applications. The role involves ensuring efficient problem resolution, collaborating with vendors, and advocating for ITIL best practices to enhance service reliability.
Responsibilities
Lead the daily operations of the Application Support team, ensuring efficient problem triage and resolution processes
Serve as the main contact for complex issues, providing hands-on troubleshooting and in-depth root cause analysis
Collaborate with vendors and technical teams to enhance Azure performance and manage release cycles
Analyze performance data and logs to ensure consistent application uptime and SLA compliance
Foster communication across various departments to maintain service reliability
Advocate for ITIL best practices and drive continuous process improvements
Prepare and present operational insights and performance metrics to leadership
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 6 years in application support or technical service management, with 3 years in a leadership role
Proficient understanding of Microsoft Azure architecture and operational tools, .NET/C#, SQL Server, and Windows-based systems
Strong communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams effectively
Experience in managing offshore support teams and global operations coordination
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Familiarity with tools such as ServiceNow and ITIL-based processes
Ability to interpret system performance data and write SQL queries
