Responsibilities
Manage daily QC lab workflow, sample analysis, and laboratory scheduling to meet manufacturing timelines
Analyze raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products according to test methods and laboratory protocols
Ability to perform advanced chemical analysis procedures, including OTC drug active testing
Works up product adjustments in lab based upon prior successful history and trail laboratory adjustment
Ensure compliance with GMP/GLP regulations, maintaining high standards for documentation, data integrity, and laboratory safety
Perform and document internal equipment calibrations and verifications following the equipment log and in‑house procedures
Maintains, calibrates, and troubleshoots complex laboratory equipment (e.g., HPLC, GC)
Perform annual Gage R&R for HPLC, GC, and auto-titrators; maintain and document all instrument maintenance and cleaning for audit readiness. Supports validation and transfer of new analytical methods
Oversee chemical and consumable weekly lab inventory, monitor lab chemicals for expiration and communicate with manager for procurement
Direct lab housekeeping/cleaning schedule
Train, mentor, and lead lab technicians, assigning tasks and providing performance feedback. Ensure annual training and application verification are completed and documented
Perform additional duties as directed or assigned by QC Lab Manager
Qualification
Required
Degree in a science and/or technical field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, Food Science, Chemical Engineering)
Experience in a regulated QC laboratory environment
Knowledge of advanced laboratory techniques
Ability to lead and maintain good working relationships with staff
Promote and lead lab personnel in a professional and service oriented manner
