Member Services Professional Intern

The Universities of Wisconsin is seeking a Member Services Professional Intern to engage in professional development and assist in operational tasks. The intern will be responsible for budgeting, event logistics, communication plans, and staffing resource allocation.

Higher Education

Responsibilities

Engages in the Rec Well professional internship development curriculum, all staff meetings, divisional committees, and other professional development responsibilities and opportunities
Prepares and monitors budgets and purchases expenditures as needed
Coordinates logistics for events and programs
Develops targeted communication plans and materials based on established goals
Identifies, proposes, and implements new or revised operational policies and procedures
Assists in implementing the staffing resource allocation plan including hiring, training, and supervision

Required

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Experience hiring, supervising, and mentoring student employees
Ability to manage merchandise, equipment, and inventories
Proven customer service experience
Proficiency in management software such as Fusion, SubItUp, Connect2Concepts, or Microsoft 365
Experience operating recreation, sport, or fitness areas
HS Diploma – Required
Bachelor's Degree - Achieve or advancing towards Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field

Preferred

Previous experience in a higher education setting for a minimum of one year (preferred)
