Responsibilities

Swim Instructors plan and implement classes for all levels of swimming
Instruct all levels of the Town of Windsor Youth Swim Programs
Maintain a vigilant watch over pool patrons as Lifeguards
Attend to persons in distress and render first aid as needed
Maintain the pool, deck, and locker room

Qualification

Water Safety Instructor (WSI)Lifeguard TrainingCPR Professional RescuerStandard First AidLesson Instruction Experience

Required

Must be able and willing to instruct all levels of the Town of Windsor Youth Swim Programs
Current certifications in Standard First Aid, CPR Professional Rescuer and Lifeguard Training are required
A completed Town of Windsor application is required in order to be considered for these positions
Successful course completion is necessary before employment
A background and fingerprint check will be completed before date of hire

Preferred

Certifications in Water Safety Instructor (WSI), Standard First Aid and CPR are desirable
Previous work experience in lesson instruction may take the place of WSI certification, depending upon level and length of experience

Benefits

Town of Windsor employees do not contribute to Social Security but instead are on a pension plan.
