The Colorado Department of Revenue is seeking a Technician IV for the Buildings and Grounds Technician position located in Greeley, CO. This role involves ensuring accurate reporting and management of maintenance activities for buildings within the Region, as well as assisting in budgetary and maintenance-related decisions.

Responsibilities

Purchase parts, tools, and materials needed to make repairs to buildings and grounds for properties in Region 4
Obtain cost estimates for buildings and grounds repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance projects; prepares correspondences and recommendations pertaining to these projects to gain approval and concurrence on said projects
Schedule work with in-house crews and outside vendors and ensures proper completion of all projects
Keep accurate records of all work performed to buildings and grounds throughout the region to include dates, timelines, and associated costs
Keep records of all warranties and ensures repairs are performed according to warranty terms
Maintain an up-to-date record of contractors that are regularly used to perform work
Trains necessary staff on proper usage of buildings fixtures and appliances including required regular light maintenance of these fixtures and appliances
Create and maintains an efficient system for monitoring and tracking building and grounds preventative maintenance, routine, and warranty repair projects
Work with Buildings and Properties Project Manager to maintain accurate reporting of all Region facilities, new construction, closures, purchases, and disposals
Provide guidance and support to supervisors and managers in the creation and monitoring of the annual Controlled and Deferred budget
Assist in regularly visiting and inspecting properties to be able to provide corrective recommendations and potential projects
Work with Buildings and Properties Project Manager to maintain accurate reporting of all Region facilities, new construction, closures, purchases, and disposals
Responsible for compliance at all Region 4 maintenance facilities that fall under the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) jurisdiction this includes performing monthly audits of required EPA forms that are logged properly in physical MS4 inspection book kept at each maintenance MS4 facility; performs routine checks of maintenance facilities and equipment for EPA compliance
Assist MS4 maintenance sheds with preparation of annual audit by Division of Transportation Development (DTD); inspection forms will then be attached to SAP inspection work orders properly
Assist the Buildings and Properties Project Manager to provide guidance and support to managers via the creation and monitoring of the annual Controlled and Deferred budget
Attends regular meetings pertaining to Region 4 facilities projects with Property Management and Facilities and Properties Project Manager
Determine the best measures for collecting and assembling data for reports pertaining to Region 4 facilities to include repairs, updates, routine maintenance, and preventative maintenance
Work with supervisors and Region management to procure, monitor, and track cleaning services and pest control for Region 4 HQ and any other facilities as assigned
Assist with coordination and removal of snow, ice mitigation, and traction application at the Region 4 HQ facility and associated grounds
During emergencies, duties may be assigned as necessary including but not limited to floods, fires, rockslides, road closures, etc

Required

At least four (4) years of full-time work experience where the primary job duties include all of the following: Working with computer software and applications (e.g., MS Excel, SAP, Google Applications)
Planning, scheduling, and tracking data
Maintains and updates accurate records
Providing on-going customer service in person, on the phone, and/or via email to internal and external customers
A current valid driver's license is required for all Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) positions which require operating a state or personal motor vehicle to perform one or more essential functions of the position
Must pass a pre-employment screening which may include social security number trace, criminal records check, public court records check, educational records, and driving records checks
