Responsibilities
Oversee Rights & Royalties accounting functions
Strengthen accounting processes
Drive improvements in accuracy and efficiency
Ensure robust internal controls across royalties and subrights
Directly manage two Accounting Managers (one focused on Subrights Accounting and one on Royalty Accounting)
Report to the VP of Accounting
Improve processes that support financial reporting and cross-functional teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
8+ years of progressive accounting experience (10+ years for Director level)
Direct experience with rights & royalties accounting (required)
Experience in publishing strongly preferred. Experience within entertainment & media mandatory
Strong process-improvement background with a track record of building scalable accounting processes in modern ERP systems
Advanced Excel skills and demonstrated ability to manage large, complex data sets
Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements
Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and working cross-functionally
Preferred
CPA preferred
Experience in publishing strongly preferred
Proficiency in SAP or equivalent ERP systems (preferred)
