Procurement Manager

The Boeing Company is looking for a Procurement Manager to support the 787 Supply Chain Team based out of North Charleston, South Carolina. The successful candidate will lead a team of analysts, manage supplier-related activities, and drive improvements in supply chain management and processes.

Responsibilities

Leads a team of analyst to support business strategies
Tactical management of factory facing responsibilities
Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements
Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and supplier diversity
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Manages, develops and motivates employees

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher
5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Fulfillment, Engineering or Manufacturing
3+ years of experience in a formal/informal leadership role
3+ years of experience analyzing and applying metrics to enable key business decisions and process improvement
3+ years of experience maintaining and/or developing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) metrics
3+ years of experience applying LEAN principles and/or Standard/Standardized work
3+ years of Project Management experience utilizing standard project management tools
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time domestically and internationally

Preferred

3+ years of experience working directly with suppliers
Experience with Cognos, Velocity, Order Manager, ERPLN, Tableau
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and across business units
Experience establishing relationships and strong on-going communication with customers, suppliers and/or vendors
Experience with rate and capacity processes
