InternUFC is the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization, and they are seeking a Finance & Accounting Intern to support their financial planning and accounting operations. The intern will assist with budget preparation, financial reporting, and gain exposure to the external audit process while working closely with the Finance team.

Responsibilities
Develop a foundational understanding of the Finance team’s primary systems, including JD Edwards (accounting system) and Insight (financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting tool)
Assist with the preparation and tracking of event budgets, from initial planning through recording actual results
Support the identification of variances between forecasted budgets and actual financial outcomes
Assist with entering and maintaining historical department, territory, and event budget and actual data in Insight
Learn the fundamentals of forecasting and annual budget preparation for a mid-sized organization, including tracking performance as results are reported
Gain exposure to the external audit process and related compliance requirements
Support the Finance & Accounting team on additional projects and initiatives as assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in a related field such as Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a similar discipline; Junior or Senior standing preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across functions
Eager to learn, take initiative, and grow in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and collaboratively
