Business Solutions Analyst
Cayuse Holdings is seeking a Business Solutions Analyst who will bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions to optimize organizational processes. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to identify challenges, gathering requirements, and designing innovative solutions that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document business requirements and objectives
Analyze existing processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement
Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications
Research, evaluate, and propose technology solutions to address business challenges and improve efficiency
Design and document processes, systems, and workflows aligned with organizational goals
Work with development teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements and are technically feasible
Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and understanding of requirements
Collaborate with project managers to track progress and ensure timely delivery of solutions
Support testing efforts by validating functionality against requirements and identifying issues
Assist in solution deployment and provide post-implementation support, including user training and documentation
Analyze business data to uncover trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization
Recommend actionable strategies based on quantitative and qualitative data analysis
Identify opportunities for process optimization and recommend industry best practices
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing solutions to identify areas for improvement
Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's-level degree from a recognized college or university. Alternatively, qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis
If no degree is obtained, a total of 9 years of experience is required
A minimum of five (5) years of experience applying analytical processes on an IT project worth at least $2M
At least three (3) years of that experience must have been in business systems analysis and design
A minimum of three (3) years of progressively complex experience (two (2) of which were in a lead capacity) and intermediate-level skill in: triaging and troubleshooting applications, eliciting and documenting business requirements, project management
A minimum of two (2) years of experience (within the last five (5) years) as a business analyst. May include experience in one or more of the following business analysis activities: Documentation development, application requirements analysis, business process analysis or re-engineering (e.g., supporting conversion and transition to a new application), application testing, or user training
A minimum of three (3) years of experience utilizing requirements management tools (e.g. JIRA)
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in analyzing legislative mandates and regulations to identify their impact on system requirements
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in working with the California Department of Technology (CDT) Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) process, specifically Stages 3 and 4
Experience in preparing documentation and artifacts required for PAL approvals
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner
Strong customer service skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail
Ability to analyze systems and procedures
Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple design streams across concurrent work effort
Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
Preferred
Master's degree or doctorate from a recognized college or university
Six (6) or more years of experience applying analytical processes on an IT project worth at least $2M. Four (4) or more years of that experience must have been in business systems analysis and design
Four (4) or more years of progressively complex experience, three (3) of which were in a lead capacity) and intermediate level skill in: triaging and troubleshooting applications, eliciting and documenting business requirements, project management
Three (3) or more years of experience (within the last eight (8) years) as a business analyst. May include experience in one or more of the following business analysis activities: Documentation development, application requirements analysis, business process analysis or reengineering (e.g., supporting conversion and transition to a new application), application testing, or user training
Four (4) or more years of experience utilizing requirements management tools (e.g. JIRA)
Four (4) or more years of experience in analyzing legislative mandates and documenting the impact of these changes on the requirements
Three (3) or more years of experience in working within CDT's PAL process and preparing documentation required to achieve PAL approvals
