Responsibilities
Affinity chromatography column packing and elution
Support high throughput screenings efforts
Apply analytical and biochemistry principles
Maintain accurate experimental records
Conduct laboratory experiments and assays under minimal supervision
Assist with data collection, analysis, and interpretation
Follow all EHS and laboratory safety protocols, proactively identifying chemical and physical hazards
Qualification
Required
Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the internship
Junior or Senior preferred but will consider sophomore applicants with extensive experience
Must be able to work full-time during the duration of the internship program
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to quickly learn new procedures and techniques
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Willingness and ability to spend 75% of the workday in a laboratory environment and 25% at a desk
Must have taken laboratory courses covering affinity column chromatography and SDS-PAGE preparation and analysis
Buffer preparation knowledge

Protein purification knowledge preferred
