Responsibilities

Will perform basic preventative maintenance for the engine room

Complete vessel orientation for each of the smaller class of vessels

Being able to safely fuel the motor vessel

Maintain decking duties (barge work, making locks and any task requested by the Vessel Captain)

Perform general boat maintenance

Actively participate in the Marine Structured Safety Process (SSP)

Participate in any environmental or safety initiatives

Assisting shore side with vessel outages

Qualification

Tankerman License VerificationDeckhand 1 QualificationHigh school diploma

Required

Tankerman License Verification

Deckhand 1 Qualification Booklet is complete and signed off by a designated Trainee

High school diploma or GED required

Must hold a valid driver license
