Responsibilities
Architect and design scalable, secure, and resilient Kubernetes infrastructure solutions tailored to customer requirements across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments
Guide customers through technical assessments (i.e. Workshop expertise), architectural reviews, and solution design, ensuring seamless integration with their existing infrastructure
Support pre-sales activities by scoping customer needs, defining technical approaches, and developing level of effort (LOE) estimates for proposed solutions
Lead deployment and lifecycle management of Kubernetes clusters, including workload placement, storage integration, and networking configurations
Implement GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate provisioning and cluster management using tools like Terraform and Ansible
Develop documentation, operational runbooks, and reference architectures to support customer enablement and long-term maintainability
Contribute to practice development by creating and enhancing reusable delivery kits, implementation templates, and internal training content
Stay current on cloud-native technologies and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, security, and scalability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Professional Services, Practice Development, Product Management, and Engineering—to deliver high-impact solutions and drive innovation
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in Consulting, DevOps, systems administration, or infrastructure engineering roles
Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and supportable technical solutions
Extensive hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, including design, deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting in production environments
Demonstrated experience architecting end-to-end container-based solutions, including high availability, resilience, and security
Proficiency with hybrid and multi-cloud Kubernetes deployments (e.g., on-premises, AWS, Azure, GCP)
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, and Python
Deep understanding of CI/CD pipeline tools and workflows, especially as they relate to Kubernetes environments (such as GitOps, Argo, Flux, etc.)
Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible
Solid grasp of networking, firewalls, service meshes, ingress controllers, and container security best practices, incl. DNS, idP (LDAP, OIDC, SAML, etc.)
Proficiency in both Windows and Linux operating systems
Excellent problem-solving skills
US Citizen required
Preferred
Experience with Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKE/NKP) or similar enterprise Kubernetes distributions (OpenShift, Rancher, etc.) is a strong plus
Architectural design expertise with one or more of the following certifications: TOGAF, VCDX, CCIE, or NPX
Solid Nutanix or vSphere infrastructure knowledge as well as NFS and Object Storage
